Kader⁴² will be available soon! Come back later!
Hello, fellow Linux enthusiasts!
You’ll soon see more content here, along with a download link for the new Linux distribution "Kader⁴²". At the moment, this is a personal project, which is why I haven’t had a chance to set up the site yet. But it’s coming soon! After the next round of tests on the distribution—and if they’re successful—this site will be filled with content.
If you’d like to get a first impression of Kader⁴², download the ISO from SourceForge. However, I should point out that some changes may still need to be made. For this reason, I advise against using it in a production environment for now. Once this page displays different content, the ISO will definitely be ready for production use.
Stay tuned! This isn’t just another Linux distribution—it’s a Linux distribution that supports convertible notebooks like the Framework 12. In addition to display rotation in tablet mode, this means that a dedicated launcher is provided for each mode (tablet or notebook mode), which can be accessed in tablet mode with a swipe gesture. One goal is for tablet mode to actually feel like a tablet. However, this isn’t desired in notebook mode, where a classic launcher is preferred.
Kader⁴² is based on Arch Linux and uses KDE Plasma 6 for its UX. Kader⁴² receives updates from the Arch repositories. However, there is also a Kader⁴²-specific repository that provides, among other things, Kader⁴²-specific tools.
So stay tuned and look forward to an exciting Linux distribution solution!
