1. Operating System & Telemetry
Kader⁴² does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or usage statistics from your system. No telemetry or tracking software is integrated into the operating system.
2. Package Repositories & Web Server Logs
When you download updates or packages from our repository or visit our website, the web server automatically stores connection information temporarily (server log files, e.g., IP address, date/time, requested file). This data is used exclusively for technical operational security and is automatically deleted after [e.g., 7 or 14] days.
3. External Services During Installation
The installer (Calamares) may use a GeoIP query to automatically determine the time zone. In doing so, your IP address is temporarily transmitted to the relevant service provider but is not permanently stored.
4. Forum Registration and Use
On our website, we offer you the option to register for our forum. Registration is voluntary. As part of the registration process, we collect and process your email address, a username of your choice, and your password (stored as a cryptographic hash).
Purpose of Processing:
The data is used exclusively for managing your forum account, providing forum features, and sending system-related emails (e.g., activation links, notifications).
Public Content and IP Storage:
Posts and profile information you create are publicly visible. To prevent spam and abuse, and to protect our legal rights, the IP address currently in use is stored for [e.g., 14 days] when forum posts are created.
Account Deletion:
You can delete your user account at any time [e.g., via your profile settings or by emailing support@kader42.de. When you delete your account, your personal profile data will be removed; however, your publicly posted forum posts will remain in an anonymized form to preserve the discussion history.
