The “Kader⁴² Software Center” has been completed and is available as a package in the Kader42 repository. The Software Center will replace pamac.
It comes with a system tray icon and automatic update detection. Additionally, you can configure it to automatically install updates at a specified time.
what is the live “Username” & “Password”?
Unfortunately, the ISO is faulty, and I’m already working on a solution (see also the news article). In the future ISO, the “liveuser” will no longer have a password. The current password should be “live.” I’m well aware that it can be very annoying to suddenly have to enter a password in a live system. But that’s exactly what we don’t want. Instead, the goal is to provide a simple experience with the system. I’m truly sorry that both of you had this experience with the faulty ISO. I hope to be able to provide a new, error-free ISO in the next few days, where the live user will no longer need a password and the installation can be completed without errors. Your comments definitely show me that there’s interest in this system, which makes me very happy. My personal goal is to deliver high quality, which is why I’m very frustrated by the faulty ISO and am working on making a bug-free ISO—like the one that was available before—available again. Unfortunately, the refactoring contributed somewhat to this problem. I can only encourage you to check back in the next few days to see if a new ISO is available. If the adjustments I made today are successful (tests are still pending), it might even be ready as early as tomorrow. Thank you in advance for your patience and trust!
